Soggy and upset fans poured out of Wrigley Field.
Some had long and complicate commutes to get there while others had been waiting since Tuesday morning.
"We got here about 11, 11:15. As soon as we started walking in, it started pouring," said Crystal Gandarilla, fan.
"I was extremely mad because we traveled all the way down here for nothing...now we have to travel all the way back," said Joe Lippe, Sox fan.
No makeup date has been announced.
The teams are scheduled to play afternoon games at Wrigley Field Wednesday and Thursday.
