The injured were taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, Saint Bernard Hospital and Health Care Center, and Advocate Christ Medical Center.
Police are continuing to investigste the cause of the accident.
Crash on Dan Ryan leaves 1 dead, 5 injured

An Illinois State Police sergeant said the man, identified as George Harris, 40, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office, was a backseat passenger inside a minivan that was rear-ended in the crash. Harris, who is from Hazel Crest, was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where he died at 10:57 p.m., according to the medical examiner's office.
