Event designed to help homeowners with mortgages

July 23, 2009 (CHICAGO) With foreclosure rates on the rise, the Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America is bringing its Save the Dream tour to McCormick place this weekend.

At the event, homeowners will have the opportunity to submit restructuring plans directly to their lenders and loan servicers for on the spot relief.

Cook County Board President Todd Stroger appeared on ABC7 News Thursday morning and explained the program is designed to provide a same day permanent solution.

"What you do is you come in, you bring in all the information that you have about your house and your mortgage. They will have the lenders. They will work with you... go through your information... and they adjust mortgages right there on the spot. They make a deal with you," Stroger said.

The event is at McCormick place and runs this weekend from Friday through Monday. For more information, check out .
