A judge presiding over The Tribune Company's bankruptcy case has agreed to speed up procedures so the company can sell the Cubs more quickly. The judge has scheduled a hearing for next Monday.

In court papers Monday, Tribune attorneys outlined a two-step process for the sale of the team to the family of billionaire Joe Ricketts.

The family agreed last week to buy a 95 percent stake of the team, and Wrigley Field, for $845 million.
