Omega-3s may boost babies' brain power

September 15, 2009 A new study finds those omega-3s can boost cognitive development for infants in their first year.

Omega-3 fatty acids occur naturally in breast milk.

This study in the journal Child Development found those babies who were fed the special formula did perform better on cognitive tasks than those fed on regular baby formula alone.
