New buyer needed for old post office

October 14, 2009 (CHICAGO) During an auction in August, Bill Davies placed the winning $40 million bid. He was supposed to close at the end of September. Despite an extension to October 10, he failed to complete the purchase.

The postal service will consider offers from other bidders.
