A United Way-sponsored report card of 10 Chicago public schools shows the group's after-school program has improved graduation levels and reduced truancy over the past five years. The United Way released the report cards Saturday as they kicked off a sixth year of their 'Stay-In-School' initiative.

ABC7 Chicago's Karen Jordan attended the event and addressed the students, as well.

The Stay-In-School initiative offers after-school tutoring, college readiness, and violence prevention workshops for students and their families.
