Study: 1 in 5 kids doesn't get enough vitamin D

A new study shows that at least one in five American children doesn't get enough vitamin d. The numbers are even higher for minority children. Eighty to 90 percent of black and Hispanic children don't get enough vitamin D. That could put them at risk for a variety of health problems, including weak bones.

The analysis is being released online Monday by the journal Pediatrics.
