According to his Press Secretary, Jackie Heard, the mayor either hurt himself while picking up a weight or while using some other type of exercise equipment. Although Heard wasn't clear on the details, she did say the mayor's cut required no stiches.
This isn't the first time Daley has hurt himself while exercising. In 1998, he fell while biking in Michigan and scraped his knee.
