A Chicago police officer is recovering after being hit by a police vehicle.It happened Friday night near the 6100-block of North Lincoln Avenue. The officer was chasing a shoplifting suspect on foot when the officer was hit by a police vehicle responding to that incident.
The officer was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life threatening.
The suspect was arrested and charged with reckless conduct and retail theft, both of which are misdemeanors.
