Robbery suspect shot by officer

December 11, 2009 (CHICAGO) Police say they were chasing a robbery suspect when he pointed a gun at an officer. The officer fired back.

Another officer who witnessed that shootout fired at the man and hit him in the head. The man, who was in his 30s, died Thursday night at the hospital.

This was the third police involved shooting Thursday. The Independent Police Review Authority is investigating.
