Honeywell plans to cut more than 200 jobs at its plant in Rock Island. Employees at the western Illinois facility heard the news Wednesday. Many have worked there for decades.

The company says the downsizing is part of a cost-cutting move.

The plant is likely to close at the end of this year.

The jobs may go overseas.
