Quinn, Hynes pick up weekend endorsements

January 16, 2010 (CHICAGO) Comptroller Dan Hynes went to a restaurant in south suburban Riverdale where he won support from former candidate Bill "Dock" Walls, who was an aide to the late Chicago Mayor Harold Washington.

Hynes also won backing from Rikki Jones, president of the Cook County Democratic women.

Meanwhile, Governor Quinn visited a North Side church where he was endorsed by the Progressive Haitian-American organization. Quinn claimed there is no better cause than to help our neighbors in Haiti who are suffering.

The governor said he is making a $1,000 contribution to Haitian earthquake relief.
