A man charged with stealing retirement money from a Wilmette widow is now allowed two hours of freedom a day.

Donald Lukens is accused of taking more than $200,000 from his former girlfriend, Marietta Egen. As ABC 7 first reported in a special segment last month, prosecutors say Lukens used her retirement money to fund his lifestyle.

In court Friday, a judge denied a request that Lukens be released from home confinement, but allowed him to leave his condo to shop or exercise for 2 hours a day.
