Plane strikes deer in Wheeling

A plane struck two deer at a suburban airport and damaged its landing gear Sunday night.Tthe pilot was attempting to take off at the Grayslake Campbell Airport when he hit the animals by accident.

The pilot then flew onto Chicago executive airport in Wheeling and landed safely.

Six people were onboard the plane, but no one was hurt. The flight originated in Freeport, Michigan.
