Naperville's golden boy will return to his hometown later this month for a day set aside in his honor. March 26 has been dubbed Evan Lysacek Day.

The Olympic gold medalist is a 2003 graduate of Neuqua Valley High School.

The figure skater is the first American man to win the figure skating gold medal since Brian Boitano in 1988.

Since his win, Lysacek has become a celebrity, appearing on many TV shows, including Oprah.

Lysacek won't stay in his hometown very long. He is about to begin a 41-city national skating tour and he is one of 11 contestants who will compete in the upcoming season of Dancing with the Stars.
