District 300 may cut some transportation

April 27, 2010 The board approved a plan Monday night to cut more than $2.3 million, mostly from the district's transportation budget.

The Preschool for All busing program is being cut. But officials say if they get any additional state funds, they'll reinstate the program. The board also plans to restructure busing for the five parochial schools in the district.

District 300 covers Carpentersville, parts of Hoffman Estates, and west to Hampshire.
