Walmart to offer price cuts on groceries

May 18, 2010

The company will offer rollbacks of up to 30 percent below everyday prices on 22 products and everyday essentials that customers buy on almost a weekly basis.

Walmart says the savings will include national brand names and will add up to about $28 in savings for each customer. The retailer says the latest rollbacks are based on an online survey of more than 1,900 mothers nationwide.

Seventy-eight percent said saving money on basic and everyday items is critical during the recession.
