Judge dismisses Trudeau contempt conviction

May 20, 2010 (CHICAGO) A federal judge in Chicago found Trudeau in contempt after he got his supporters to flood the judge's computer with e-mails. But an appeals court dismissed the conviction Thursday, saying an act of contempt must occur in the presence of the judge.

Trudeau is the author of "The Weight Loss Cure" and other books. He is battling the Federal Trade Commission over allegations of deceptive advertising.
