An Aurora man was found guilty of driving under the influence and reckless homicide in a deadly hit and run accident.

However, a Kane County judge acquitted Edward Cook of murder charges.

David Long, 57, was killed last July while walking his dog near his home in Batavia.

According to testimony at his trial, Cook was driving on a suspended license and had been drinking when he took his girlfriend's car without permission and struck Long.

Cook faces up to 14 years in prison. He will be sentenced next month.
