Six teenagers were arrested during a fight on the beach Monday night and another teenager was hit in the head while jogging through the tunnel that night. wo men were charged with assault for that attack.
"The Chicago Police Department is concerned about that, sure. Again, lighting, safety, things like that you have to look at. Anytime you have any whether it's Humboldt Park or anyplace else, you're concerned about any type of criminal activity or gang activity," said Daley.
The Chicago Police Department says visitors to the beach can expect to see more officers. They also say the attacks appear to be isolated incidents.
