$27K in cocaine seized by Schaumburg police

A 23-year-old Hanover Park man is in custody after what police are calling a substantial drug bust in Streamwood by Schaumburg police.Police say they seized half of a kilogram of cocaine after an undercover investigation that began in May and resulted Thursday in the suspect's arrest.

Investigators charged Fernando Bonilla Lemus Jr., 23, of the 6600-block of Peachtree St. in Hanover Park with two felony counts of delivery of a controlled substance.

Police say the seized cocaine has an estimated street value of $27,000.

On Friday, a judge set bond for Lemus at $150,000. His next scheduled court date will be at the 3rd Dist. Cook County Court in Rolling Meadows on June 23.
