Man, 24, struck and killed in Chicago

June 12, 2010 (CHICAGO) The victim was crossing the street in the crosswalk when he was hit around 9:15 p.m.

Police say the driver fled the scene going northbound on Stony Island. It's believed the driver was traveling in a red or burgundy Chevy conversion van.

The van has a gray or off-white stripe across the side panels. Anyone with information about the accident is encouraged to call police.
