Tiny telescopes help improve sight

July 8, 2010

The disease made Ed Nungesser legally blind for years, but that has all changed after he signed up to be part of a trial group having tiny telescopes implanted into their eyes.

Health officials caution that the surgery won't help all of the two million people who have macular degeneration.
