Palos Heights imposes dress code for City Hall workers

August 18, 2010 (CHICAGO)

Aldermen say casual dress by some people had gotten out of hand during the summer months.

Workers are now required to wear what the law calls: casual business clothes Monday through Thursday and casual clothes on Friday.

Among the clothing now banned for city hall workers are: shorts, flip flops, t-shirts or jeans. Exceptions will be made for people who can not comply because of disabilities or religion.
