A 10-year-old and an 11-year-old were in the 900-block of West Garfield on Tuesday afternoon when the accident took place, according to police. They were taken to University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital in Hyde Park in serious condition.
Residents of the complex say the accident happened on a back porch.
