Acupuncture appears ineffective in treating stroke

Acupuncture has been shown to help ease different ailments but it apparently is not effective in treating stroke.

Acupuncture is often used as a supplemental treatment in stroke rehabilitation, but a review of ten different studies of more than 700 patients found that acupuncture did not provide a substantial benefit for patients.

Scientists say they aren't completely ruling out acupuncture, but they are calling for larger, more rigorous studies to measure the effectiveness.
