Congressman Peter Roskam's office was able track down the veterans' lost paperwork and resolve outstanding questions.
The medals include a Purple Heart awarded posthumously to Fred Biehl, Sr. who was wounded in World War II, and service medals awarded to his sons Donald and Fred Biehl, Jr. who served in Vietnam. Fred, Jr. also received two Bronze Stars.
