Report: Women more skin savvy than men

The study says 60 percent of those asking doctors to be checked out for skin cancer were women.

Family medical histories and worries about exposure to sunlight motivated them to be more active.

Men on the other hand were more likely to ask about screening only if they already had cancer.

Researchers say men need to be better informed about skin screening, since men age 50 and older are at highest risk of melanoma.
