A Romeoville man has been accused of faking a robbery to get a ride home from police.

Joliet Police say 26-year-old Houston Taylor called 9-1-1 to say he had been robbed at the downtown train station by four men armed with a knife and stick.

After questioning Taylor's girlfriend, officers say, she told them he made up the story to get a ride home.

Instead of going home Taylor was driven to the county jail and charged with disorderly conduct.
