Jackson, Jr. says he can't raise funds in time for mayoral run

Congressman Jesse Jackson Jr. made his first public comments Thursday since announcing he will not run for mayor.

"I can't raise the money in the truncated campaign process. A thoughtful conversation requires a lot of money, a lot of commercials, a lot of activity in order to make that conversation happen," said Jackson.

Congress Jackson went on to say fundraising money is not his greatest strength. He does not want to endorse any of the candidates because he says he's friends with all of them.
