Some Illinois seniors are calling for more taxes to avoid cuts in public services and programs.

The Jane Addams Senior Caucus held a rally outside the Thompson Center Tuesday. The rally included a mock game of "Operation" to illustrate the seniors' concerns over budget cuts.

The seniors argue that cutting the Community Care Program would result in many seniors ending up in nursing homes which would cost taxpayers more in the long run.
