The animal was first spotted at State and Lake. He ran over a mile and half down State Street before the camera lost sight of him near Roosevelt Road. The coyote might have been headed toward Grant Park.
No sighting was reported since.
Urban coyotes are not uncommon in Chicago. In March 2010, a coyote was seen in Grant Park. But the most memorable sighting was in 2007 when a coyote walked into a Loop restaurant and jumped in the cooler with the drinks. It was tagged and set set free days later.
