A posting on Facebook apparently led police to arrest a Chicago man for making a bomb threat at Western Illinois University.

Eighteen-year-old Cameron McKoy appeared in court Tuesday and prosecutors asked that he be kept behind bars.

McKoy is suspected of making repeated threats to a residence hall on the Macomb campus. Students created a Facebook page to talk about the threats. McKoy allegedly posted a message claiming responsibility.

Federal investigators reportedly traced the post to McKoy. No bombs were ever found.
