Officials will be cracking down at shopping malls across Illinois on drivers who park illegally in spaces reserved for people with disabilities.

The Secretary of State police will kickoff the effort on the busiest shopping day of the year at popular shopping locations, including Woodfield, Oak Brook and Orland Park Malls in the Chicago area.

The fine for parking in an accessible parking space without a parking placard or disability license plates can be as much $350.
