Two Chicago area brothers were sentenced to probation for damaging an Olympic banner last year at Daley Plaza.

The banner was hung just days before Olympic officials announced which city would host the 2016 summer games. Chicago was one of four finalists.

Police said Jason and Jeremy Hammond were part of a group that tried to burn the banner.

They were convicted last month of mob action. Jason must serve one year's probation. Jeremy received 18 months probation and he must perform community service.
