Chanel Moody gathered family and friends Tuesday at her Villa Park home where they shared memories of her little brother, 23-year-old Tony Moody. He was shot and killed Monday while sitting in a car with his cousin in Bellwood.
Moody graduated from Indiana State University and helped coach football at Proviso East High School for two summers.
"He lit up every room he walked in, don't matter what the mood was. He meant a lot to a lot of people. And the people who did this don't realize how bad and how much they hurt us," said Chanel Moody.
When Moody was in high school, his family sent him to live with relatives in Atlanta to get him away from the violence in Maywood where he grew up.
