Weight gain may change brain's response to food

A Yale study determined obese or overweight people did not get as much pleasure from yummy foods as normal weight people did.

The study participants were given milkshakes.

MRIs determined that overweight and obese people showed less activity in a region of the brain that involved reward.

Scientists say they believe overtime overeating slows people's built in reward systems.

The question now is: Can that system return to normal if they lose weight?
