The entire structure blew away Sunday morning and landed in an open patio area.
No activities were going on at the time because the tented area had been closed for the winter. No injuries were reported.
Winds in the Chicago gusted to more than 60 miles per hour Sunday. Navy Pier officials had not said Sunday night how much the damage will cost or how long it will take to repair.
Other activities at Navy Pier continued as usual.
