December 14, 2010

The Wall Street Journal reports Comcast is testing a new set-top box service called Excaliber. It doesn't let users freely browse the Internet, but they will be able to connect with social networks to comment on television shows. Users will also be able to watch a limited number of web videos. The service also has digital video recording capabilities.

Comcast lost 275,000 customers in the third quarter of this year and the company is looking to attract more business.
