Family, friends surprise soldier with homecoming

December 25, 2010 (CHICAGO)

Family, friends and co-workers greeted Chief Master Sgt. Vic Guerrieri as he arrived at O'Hare Airport Christmas Eve. Guerrieri said the turnout "surprised the heck out of me."

Guerrieri said while in Iraq he missed the Chicago weather and joked about rolling around in the snow. The Air Force chief master sergeant said being away from his family was the hardest part.

"People need to go overseas and see what those people are going through and then they'll appreciate what they have here at home. That's what Christmas is to me right now being home with my family," said Guerrieri.

Guerrieri urged people to pray for the men and women still serving in Iraq.
