Police and school officials in Lake County, Indiana, are taking precautions because it appears someone is firing BBs or pellets at passing cars and buses.

One driver tells police she was traveling east of Crown Point Wednesday afternoon when her driver's side window suddenly shattered.

Shots also struck windows of a school bus and a car in the same area near Interstate 65.

No one was injured.

The Crown Point Community Schools will divert school buses from the area at least through Friday.
