Police in Aurora are searching for the gunman who shot and critically wounded two teenage girls as they sat in a parked car.

Kane County sheriff's deputies responded to a call of shots fired near the 600-block of South Sumner Avenue in unincorporated Aurora Township at approximately 10 p.m. Friday.

Investigators say the girls were sitting in a parked car with a 21-year-old man. He reportedly drove them a short distance away before calling police.

The victims are 17 and 18-years-old. Their names had not been released Saturday evening, and investigators had not determined a motive for the shooting.
