Suspect in cop murder pleads not guilty

A man accused of killing a Chicago police officer and a former Chicago Housing Authority officer pleaded not guilty Thursday.

Timothy Herring is charged with the murders of police evidence technician Michael Flisk and retired CHA police officer Stephen Peters at a burglary scene last November in the city's South Shore community.

Timothy Willis is accused of hiding the murder weapon. He also appeared in court Thursday with a motion requesting a new judge.
