Snow-buried cars may get ticketed

Chicago residents who haven't dug their cars out of the snow yet could get a ticket.

Chicago police confirm there is a municipal ordinance that says vehicles are considered abandoned if they haven't been moved after seven days.

This is a year-round law that's easier to enforce when all that snow piled on top makes it obvious that a car hasn't been moved in a while. Police are out enforcing this law.

If you do get a ticket, you can go to court to fight it.
