More than 700,000 youngsters ages 12 to 14 in the U.S. are drinking alcohol and many may be getting it from a parent.

According to a government report, in the past month alone, more than 200,000 kids were given alcohol by a parent or other adult family member. That doesn't count youngsters who are drinking on the sly.

Experts suggests locking up the liquor at home and never giving any to minors.

They say being a regular drinker as a teen can have serious consequences in adulthood.
