City Clerk Miguel del Valle says he declined an offer to head Mayor-elect Rahm Emanuel's transition team.Del Valle, who finished third among the six mayoral candidates, says Emanuel called him Wednesday with the invitation.
He says he didn't accept because he'll be working as clerk until his term expires May 15, when Emanuel becomes mayor.
