U.S. Army Specialist Brian Pierce was welcomed by his friends and family, Operation Welcome You Home, Plainfield Police and Emergency Management.
A line of American flags saluted the soldier and afterward he headed home in a limo escorted by a fire truck and police cars.
Pierce is on a 30-day R&R before heading back to duty.
