A hundred Chicago Housing Authority senior citizen apartments have been rehabilitated in Uptown.

Mayor Richard Daley and CHA President Lewis Jordan helped cut a ribbon to re-open the Kenmore Senior Apartments.

The building is called clean, safe, modern, and environmentally-friendly.

Common rooms include a fitness center and a library.

The mayor and other officials walked through the building and visited some of the rehabbed units.
