'Wish' trees for Japan up at Chicago Botanic Garden

March 18, 2011 (CHICAGO)

The staff has put traditional 'wish' trees near the Crescent Garden.

Visitors can write messages then tie them to the tree branches.

The Botanic Garden says wish trees are common in various forms throughout the world.

After March 27, the slips of paper will be burned in the McDonald Woods shelter fire pit.

ABC7 will have much more about this coming up in a live interview on ABC7 News Sunday morning.
